REPORT A CLAIM

FIRST REPORT – HOW TO FILE A PROPERTY, GENERAL LIABILITY, AUTO, BOILER, AND SCHOOL BOARD LEGAL LIABILITY CLAIM USING FIRST REPORT

York Risk, the Trust’s third party administrator that manages claims is now SEDGWICK. The claims process is similar only the email address has changed.

When a claim occurs, please complete fully one of the two claim forms linked below depending on the type of claim.

  • Auto, Boiler & Machinery, Liability, Property, Student Injury

    • Sedgwick will assign an adjuster and you will be notified of that assignment along with the claim number.

    • When corresponding with the adjuster be sure to identify the matter by the claim number

    • Boiler & Machinery (B&M) claims will be filed with Travelers our (B&M) carrier.

      • B&M adjuster will acknowledge claim

Once the claim form is completed, please return to Anita Folckemer at MSMA at afolckemer@msmaeweb.com. Anita will file with Sedgewick with a copy to you. In the alternative, you can file directly at 7920MSMA@sedgwick.com with a copy to Anita.

Email Instructions

  • Complete the First Report (property, general liability, auto, or boiler) or complete the School Board Legal Liability First Report

  • Email the report to Sedgwick at 7920MSMA@sedgwick.com

  • A copy of the filing should be sent to MSMA at afolckemer@msmaweb.com

  • The subject line must state: Client Code: 7920 MSMA Member “your school system” (i.e. RSU, MSAD, Voc. Reg., Union, or School Name)

REMEMBER to advise that you are a member of MSMA Property & Casualty Trust and our client number is 7920.

Once a claim is filed, Sedgwick will acknowledge receipt of the claim to both the Trust and the member, providing the claim number, adjuster and his/her contact information. This information is important to keep at your fingertips for communication with your adjuster.
