As many of you are focused on end of year decisions, many of the discussions across Maine Superintendent Regions are also focused on how and when we will be able to open schools. The following resource linked below may be helpful to you as you begin to think about the fall. AASA has shared a rich resource for Superintendents as they look forward to the opening of schools.
Opportunity Labs has created a roadmap of essential actions to help district and school leaders plan and implement a safe, efficient, and equitable return to school.
This roadmap is informed by evidence-based public health and education emergency operations planning best practices and the direct feedback of epidemiologists, child infectious disease physicians, psychologists, district superintendents, leaders of public charter school management organizations, and school leaders.
