School Board members from across Maine are encouraged to come to the State House on Tuesday, April 22nd - we will be meeting with legislators, visiting the House and Senate, and urging support for our public schools and students.

Board members will meet at the Cross Building at 8:45 a.m., then will head over to the State House to meet with House Speaker Ryan Fecteau. We will then visit both the House and Senate and be recognized there. In the afternoon, we will meet with Senate President Mattie Daughtry.

If attending, we also encourage you to reach out to your own local representatives and find time to speak with them about crucial issues affecting Maine public schools. We are carefully watching several issues in the legislature: funding, school meals, student behavior, school choice, and more. Your voice truly does matter in these discussions, and lawmakers want to hear from their local lawmakers.
