“Public Education: Embracing Our Future Together” is the theme of this year’s Fall Conference to be held virtually this year on Friday and Saturday, October 30 and 31.  The two days being planned will be informative and inspiring.  Highlights include the following:

Judge John Broderick, Jr. - Senior Director, External Affairs and Former Chief Justice, N.H. Supreme Court. Changing the Culture Surrounding Mental Illness: It’s Way Past Time

John Broderick has spoken over 515 times the past 4 years and driven over 82,000 miles in New Hampshire and surrounding states in a dedicated effort to improve understanding and awareness of mental illness, to eliminate its mythology, encourage discussion and treatment and begin to change the unfair and shameful culture that surrounds it.  He will discuss his family’s mental health journey and recovery, the struggles posed by mental illness for so many families and the imperative to Change Direction and R.E.A.C.T.

More than 40 clinics will be offered along with MSBA Delegate Assembly, recognition of years of board service, and awards of the Maine School Boards Association.

Please Note: With Registration, attendees will have access to all clinics through November 8th on the virtual platform!

Registration for the Fall Conference should be made through your superintendent’s office.

The MSMA staff is looking forward to seeing you online on October 30 and 31.
