Hearing on K-12 budget postponed to March 3 in Augusta – February 14, 2017
The public hearing on the Governor’s Biennial Budget, L.D. 390, was postponed yesterday due to the snowstorm and has been rescheduled for Friday, March 3, starting at 10 a.m., in the Appropriations Committee Room 228, second floor of the State House.
The hearing will review the K-12 funding sections of the budget, including 48 proposed changes to the Essential Programs and Services funding formula. MSMA will resend overviews of the budget out this week to assist school boards and superintendents in writing testimony on the budget bill.
